We've had (are having!) an amazing summer here in Rowallan now that people are finally able to travel and enjoy Scotland again. We've still got some availability for late autumn and for Christmas and/or New Year though.

Rowallan is amazing for a break in the Highlands. Have a wee look at the floor plans here to see just how much living and socialising space you get on top of everything. It really is something else.

Give us a shout or have a look at www.RowallanRogart.com for more info and pics.

Loch Fleet as you turn in to Rogart. 😍

Littleferry and Loch Fleet 360 pano. This is a lovely area on the East Sutherland coast. Lots of wildlife can be seen around its shores.
Move around and zoom in to explore the area in more detail.

We really do get the loveliest guests in Rowallan! Another fab review 😍

117 year difference!
Rowallan in 1902 and today.

In front of the original house photo from 1902 you can see our great-grandfather ("Gap") William Grant and his three children; our Aunties Mary and Chris and our grandfather Ian (who is just a cute wee curly haired toddler in the pic).

Rowallan was always the village shop in Rogart; in the 1902 picture you can see the shop items in the window to the right of the front door.
In the recent picture you can see the full shop extension that was built on by Ian and William in the 1920s, not long before Ian, the baby in the original pic, had his own two twin sons, our uncle Bill and lovely dad John.

Once this new shop was built, the old shop room from 1902 then became the formal family parlour room. Nowadays the parlour is still a beautiful parlour, still with the original tiled fireplace and picture rails and now with a fitted library and the shop extension is now a large, modern and bright open plan dining/kitchen/living space. Items from the original shop fittings can still be seen throughout Rowallan.

Still wondering where Rowallan actually is?

Right where Richard Hammond points right when he say "we miss this bit"!

His finger pretty much lands on Rowallan!

What happened when the GT boys took the advice every local would give and took the roads less travelled *inside* the NC500 loop...
😍 Breathtaking😍

* Rowallan is perfectly placed right in the heart of Sutherland in the middle of these out-of-this-world drives.

They start filming near Rowallan, where I was born and raised, and the final scenes in this clip are shot by Loch Eriboll, where my grandfather was born and raised. All in Sutherland. Home.

Impossible to watch this without feeling the emotion (I bet that's not often said of a clip with Jeremy Clarkson in it!!).
