Mick's a Winner

Mick, who works on the River Oykel with our fishermen, recently won a flying tying contest by the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust . The competition involved designing a salmon fly in the charity’s colours: heather, bluebell and yellow iris. The colours reflect the UK’s uplands, lowlands and rivers - those areas managed by the gamekeeping community. With 3 eminent salmon fishing experts judging the entries, we can see why they chose his beautiful creations.
