What a lovely Easter weekend. Weather wasn't great but the sun came out on Sunday and one of my lovely guests organized an Easter Egg hunt with a little help from me and other mum's. The kids had a great time. Thank you Nicky. 🐰

Well, I think we have just about dried out enough to open tomorrow 27th March. Just in time for the Easter holidays. Fingers crossed it stays that way 🤞

We still have places left for the Easter Bank holiday weekend if you are looking for a short break.

Hi everyone. As you may know we have been away for a few weeks but must tell you about this place in France on our way home.
What a great stop over last night. Camping Le Troy, Herm. I can't big up this site enough. Near Castets in France. Very quirky, very rural with sculptures, parking under trees or in the sun. Also has 4 self contained accommodations even up to 8 in one. So lovely and rustic. Constance and her husband are the owners. They speak good English and were lovely. Showed us around. We would stay here again for sure. But if you are thinking of a trip to south France, camping or accommodation, check it out.

Good to see another local business coming back.

Welcome to The Crown @ Whitchurch!
Although we have now taken over this lovely building with so much promise, we have a long slog ahead to get up and running.

Some of our rooms are available to let from January on a self contained basis.

Our bar area will be open to everyone from March 2026

Our restaurant will be serving home cooked meals using local produce from April 2026

The function room and bar will be ready to host parties, groups, small weddings and fund raisers by December 2026

looking forward to supporting village life and making new friends and neighbours!

Thank you so much to all our campers this year.
We are delighted to say that through book sales, plant sales and the odd duck race we have raised over £600 which we will divide between Cancer research, Alzheimers research Uk and the ongoing up keep of the defibrillator.
We look forward to welcoming you next year.
