🌞Now the temperature has cooled a little, this weekend is the perfect time to pull on those walking boots.

🥾Ross-on-Wye is an excellent base for circular walks, with routes ranging from easy riverside strolls to longer countryside walks. Popular options include:

👣Ross-on-Wye to Penyard Park — a longer countryside circuit through woodland and open farmland, with broad views towards the Forest of Dean.

👣Bridstow & the River Wye — a quieter rural circuit through lanes and fields around the villages west of Ross.

👣River Wye & Wilton Castle — an easy scenic circuit taking in the riverside, Wilton Bridge and the ruins of Wilton Castle.

👣The Prospect & Wye Valley — a shorter walk from the town centre with viewpoints over the River Wye and surrounding countryside.

WOW! Banana tree update! The tree has loved the heatwave (unlike some of us!😅🥵) and have grown really big! They will become food for butterflies as they love fruit to sit and feed on! 🍌🦋
