Doug's Pub Quiz - Wednesday 28th October, 7:30pm

There's still a few tables left for our monthly pub quiz! We'll have quizmaster Doug here as usual dealing out the questions and giving the points to the smartest teams. It's £2 per person up to teams of 6 with all cash entries going into the prize pot.

Yew Tree Presents... Trojan Records: The Rise of Reggae in the UK by Marcus Byrne - Wednesday 4th November, 7pm

Our next talk in November will be our previously postponed talk by Marcus Byrne about Trojan Records and Reggae in the UK. We'll get to hear about the history of the record label and how it brought along a culture of Jamaican music to the UK mainstream in the late 60's and 70's. Marcus will also be bringing some original Trojan vinyl that we can listen to as well as books and ephemera to look at.

Our monthly talks are free to attend with everyone being welcome, see you there!

C***r Club with Totemic C***r & Perry - Saturday October 31st, 7pm

We'll be joined by recent best in Herefordshire winner at the Malvern autumn show perry competition, Matt Smith from Totemic at the end of the month. Matt likes to use unusual and rare varieties for making his c***r and perry, often finding fruit that has yet to be identified and going through the process of DNA analysis to determine these unknown varieties. C***r Club regulars will be no stranger to Matt and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us for what will certainly be a very special and exciting tasting!

C***r Club is a relaxed guided c***r and perry tasting that we host every last Saturday of the month. We welcome all c***r and perry enthusiasts to come and join in, it's a wonderful evening to gain insight into the world of c***r from the makers perspective and often we get to try rare and special drinks that you may not get to try anywhere else. C***r Club features at least 6 drinks to taste through with a talk from the makers themselves and an epic bread and cheese buffet afterwards featuring Foccacia baked by our very own Firebird Kitchen. Tickets are £15 per person and are available on the door. We can't wait to see you at Herefordshire's premier monthly c***r event!

It's our monthly craft club tomorrow night!

Bring your current project and join in on our social craft session, Ruby will be around to help or teach some basics with needles and yarn available. Luke will also be around to fix your stuff, if it can fit through the door he'll take a look. We'll be kicking off from 6pm but feel free to join in throughout the evening!

Our single variety c***r and perry bar is open!

Jon from Meggys Cyder was the first to get a tasting flight of Kingston Black. As you can see behind Jon we have a whole new shelf full of brilliant single varieties from tons of makers and are all available by the glass as tasting flights. Taste favourites such as Yarlington Mill and Dabinett to lesser known varieties like Collogget Pippin and Rosemary Russet.

The bar is open in our c***r shop all weekend as well as our usual bar inside the pub.

There's scrumptious woodfired food from Firebird Kitchen all weekend serving from 5pm-8pm tonight,
12pm-3pm then 5pm-8pm Saturday, and 12pm-5pm Sunday.

Albert Johnson and Adam Wells will be hosting a special guided tasting of 6 special single varieties on Saturday at 4pm. It's £15 on the door in our event room.

We have live music tonight at 8pm from the Broome Cupboard Blues Band then on Saturday we have the Wh**ky River Boys playing at 5pm and the Stone Jars playing at 8pm. On Sunday we have our open mic from 3pm-6pm, everyone is welcomie and all performers get a free drink.

The Single Variety Symposium starts tomorrow!

We're so excited for you to join us here this weekend while we host our celebration of single variety c***r and perry. We'll have two bars over the weekend offering great draught including great c***r and perry single varieties and all 6 Munich Oktoberfest b**rs! We'll be offering tasting flights of different single variety drinks from loads of different great c***rmakers from all over the country, it'll surely be the largest selection of single variety c***r and perry that you can get anywhere!

Albert and Adam will be doing a special guided tasting on Saturday at 4pm where you will explore terroir through 6 different fine drinks. It's £15 on the door and will be held in our event room. Don't miss out!

Firebird Kitchen will be keeping us all fed with their awesome woodfired food all weekend. Serving 5pm-8pm Friday, 12pm-3pm then 5pm-8pm Saturday, and 12pm-5pm on Sunday too! We aren't taking table bookings for this weekend so keep that in mind.

If all that's not enough we'll have live music throughout the weekend from the Broome Cupboard Blues Band on Friday at 8pm, Wh**ky River Boys on Saturday at 5pm, Stone Jars on Saturday at 8pm then it's our open mic session on Sunday from 3pm.

Open Mic - Sunday 11th, 3pm-6pm

It's our monthly open mic session this coming Sunday and it's also our Single Variety Symposium festival! From 3pm join us for our open music session, bring something to play and we'll plug it into our PA system. Free drink for performers. Firebird Kitchen will also be serving their fantastic woodfired food this Sunday 12pm-5pm too.

Permaculture and how to be a lazy gardener - A talk by Andrew de la Haye, Wednesday at 7pm

Join us for another one of our monthly talks tomorrow evening where we'll have Andrew de la Haye telling us about how we can use the principles of permaculture in our own gardens and how it can help not only ourselves but other species. It's free and everyone is welcome!
