Summer Market Fayre - Sunday 7th June

Free guided orchard walk, meet at the pub at 11am. Albert will meet you and tell you about our beautiful family orchards before the market kicks off.

Stalls 12pm-4pm, outside in our garden and event room. Lots of stallholders including gifts, ceramics, cider, cheese, coffee, cake, woodturning and more!

Music at 3pm from the Herefordshire Old Time Circle playing American old time music with fiddles, guitars and banjos.

Teddy Bear Picnic, bring a blanket and your little ones favourite teddy and enjoy a family friendly picnic in our garden. There will be food available from Firebird Kitchen and cakes and nibbles available on the day but if there is anything specific that your child likes then feel free to bring that along too.

Food from Firebird Kitchen 12pm-3pm serving all of your favourite woodfired pizzas, sides, salads and more!

Craft Club and Repair Pub - Tuesday 9th June, from 6 pm

Are you a craftsperson looking for a place join a community? Or are you looking to start a craft? Do you have a broken gadget that needs fixing? Craft Club and Repair Pub may be the evening for you!

Run by staff member Ruby, we aim to create a welcoming and enjoyable space for people to work on their crafts, whether you're a beginner or a fully fledged artisan! We've seen all sorts of wonderful crafts here, from fibre crafts like crochet and knitting, to weaving and spinning, water colour and scrapbook making.

If you're just starting out, and don't have access to materials, we always have a collection of crochet hooks, knitting needles and yarn for you to practice with, and Ruby is always on hand or floating around and is happy to show you techniques!

As for your broken gadgets, bring them to our engineer extraordinaire Luke and he may be able to fix them for you!

Craft Club is always free and always open to all ❤

Wednesday 3rd June - Yew Tree Presents ... Cheesemaking with Hancock's Meadow Farm. Talk starts at 7pm, Free Entry

Join us this month for our talk presented by Kate of Hancock's Meadow Farm as she talks us through their ewe's milk cheesemaking process! Their Friesland Ewes are hand reared on their small farm in Ballingham and are milked twice a day throughout the spring and summer to make their "Valley Drover" cheese. It's handmade by Kate and her mum in their on site dairy. They also produce cider, honey and rear other meat for sale, and they'll have a stall at our Summer Market Fayre on Sunday 7th too!

A nice relaxed little get together for parents and children, with time to browse the market stalls if you would like to!

We'll also be launching our brand new summer seasonal cider! It's a refreshing and easy to drink blend that lends itself to drinking in the sunshine. It'll be pouring on draught here from Sunday!

Sunday 7th, 12pm-4pm, Summer Market Fayre. We'll have loads of great stallholders here in our garden included handmade gifts, ceramics, cider and more. Launch of our seasonal summer cider. Guided orchard walk at 11am from the pub car park. Teddy bear picnic in the garden for your little ones, bring your picnic blankets and favourite teddy. Sunday 14th, 3pm, Open Mic. Monthly open music session with PA system. All welcome to play or listen. All performers get a free drink!

Wednesday 24th, 7:30pm, Doug's Pub Quiz. Our monthly pub quiz! Bring a team of your smartest family and friends to compete for cash prizes. £2 per person entry that goes into the prize pot! No food this quiz as Firebird Kitchen are away.

Summer Market Fayre & Teddy Bear Picnic - Sunday 7th June, 12pm-4pm

Join us here for another one of our seasonal markets featuring a bunch of great stall holders including cider, coffee, cake, ceramics, woodwork, crochet, gifts and more! The market will be on from 12pm-4pm in our pub garden. We'll also be hosting a guided walk of our orchards starting at the pub from 11am, the ground can be uneven so please wear suitable shoes!

There will also be a teddy bear picnic at the bottom of our garden for children during the market, bring a blanket and your favourite teddy/s and your preferred picnic snacks if needed. We have cakes and snacks from some of the stalls and pizza available from Firebird Kitchen throughout the market!

The weather is looking great this weekend (22nd-24th May) for our Summertime Soiree drinks festival! We'll have great drinks, live music and delicious food all weekend long.
