walk, beautiful walk, challenging as we had to cross over a few waterfalls on the way and there had been a lot of rain beforehand. Very proud Auntie as my 3 year old niece managed the walk very well, and proud Mum, as Mac did it with ease. Me…. On the other hand, had to get on my bum at one point to come down a steep slope 🤣 (only me!!!) but my sister who came with us, sprained her ankle badly just as we reached the waterfall. Having a backpack with supplies is an advantage in these situations! (I might pack a dram of whiskey in future 🥃)

Christmas Eve in Aviemore, we took a visit to see the Reindeers and Santa followed by lunch at La Taverna which was lovely, warm and welcoming. First visit to see the Reindeer’s in the paddocks, next time I would like to book on the hill walk!

hit whilst we was staying at Riverbank House, thankfully we didn’t have any damage but we lost power from about 9.30am to 9.30pm. I was so grateful for having a wood burning fireplace which kept us toasty warm all day, a gas stove and a fridge full of cold meats & cheeses (and a bottle of port) from Christmas. Always spare lanterns & candles kept at the house - just in case! First time in 6 years it’s happened to us Gratitude to all the engineers that cleared all the fallen trees and the power up and running!

Hello from Riverbank House 🏡 we’ve been spending a few days getting the house ready for a busy season ahead, the paint brushes have come out, we’ve pottered about in the garden & topped up our supplies. We do get some pleasure too and get to enjoy the house and area ourselves. Mac even went to U12 training day today and loved it! It’s got to be the most stunning location in the whole of the UK for a football ground literally sitting at the bottom of Ben Nevis. If you are up, check to see if they have a game on and support them if you can. We’ve got a day planned to white sands of Morar tomorrow before heading home to celebrate my birthday.
