Aviation history at Brownsover Hall. ✈️

During the development of the world’s first jet engine, Sir Frank Whittle and senior members of the Power Jets team were based here at Brownsover Hall whilst carrying out their pioneering work.

On Saturday, 6th June Sir Frank’s son, Ian Whittle, will be joining the Lutterworth & District Museum for a special event reflecting on and celebrating his father’s extraordinary legacy before joining us in the evening as a guest at Brownsover Hall Hotel.

‘Inventing The Jet Engine’ - An Audience with Ian Whittle takes place at 3pm at the Wycliffe Rooms, Lutterworth and tickets are available now via the link below.

We had an incredible time last week at our first Cheese & Wine Evening, hosted by the wonderful Toby Dillaway from Peter Graham Wines. 🍷🧀

An evening filled with indulgent pairings, great company, and plenty of delicious discoveries - we couldn’t have asked for a better first event.

What a perfect way to round off a fabulously busy and wonderfully warm bank holiday weekend! It was an absolute joy to sing for the first ever 'Live on the Lawn' event at Brownsover Hall Hotel 🎉🎶🎙️☀️

I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful audience! 🙏🏻 I met so many fantastic people and loved every moment - from the children chasing the bubbles, to the amazing jiving, to seeing everyone soaking up the glorious sunshine, and of course who could forget that big finale kick line! 💃🏻

The atmosphere was utterly stunning - what an incredible place to spend the afternoon, singing all of my favourite jazz, big band, PMJ, soul and so much more 🥰

I'm now sat outside in the garden enjoying an ice cold beverage 🍹 and feeling very, very grateful for the wonderful experiences I've had this weekend 💛🥹
