My Runswick Bay - Luxury cottages to let close to Whitby

One of our favourite things to do on a beautiful day from either cottage is to catch the bus to Skinningrove and head out onto the Cleveland Way and walk the coastline 🌊

Dramatic clifftop views, sea air, quiet moments and some of the most beautiful scenery on the Yorkshire coast.

Simply wander along the path towards Boulby, Staithes and Runswick Bay, it’s one of the best ways to properly slow down and experience this part of the coast.

Sometimes the simplest days by the sea are the best ones.

The Yorkshire coast always feels special… but this weekend especially so ⚓️

Staying at beautiful Runswick Bay, hop on the bus almost right outside the door straight into Whitby, no parking stress, no traffic queues, just an easy coastal day out and enjoying all the Yorkshire coast has to offer.

Only a 10 minute drive from the front door or if you fancy something more energetic take the stunning cliff top walk along the Cleveland way from Runswick Bay to Sandsend and soak up the sea air and coastal landscapes. Refuel at thefishcottage and enjoy some of the of the best fish and chips. 😋

One of our favourite nearby adventures is a visit to Falling Foss 🌿

A beautiful woodland walk with waterfalls, winding paths and plenty to explore, it’s a brilliant outing for children and four-legged friends alike.

And at the end? The tea room is a real treat — perfect for refuelling with scone, jam & cream and a cuppa before heading back to the coast.

It’s around a 30-minute drive from Runswick Bay and always a firm favourite with our guests.
