Sarum House B&B

Hi all, Helen and I have happily run Sarum House B&B for the last ten years here in the lovely town of Ruthin.
It is now time to retire and we would like to thank everyone who has visited us over this period and all the many others who have helped us with this endeavor.
We have made countless new acquaintances and have very fond memories of this time in which we have provided b&b to all our visitors.
Rest assured, I will not be sitting down doing nothing! Helen would never permit it!
We will hopefully be seeing more of our children and grandchildren and visiting other b&b,s to compare!
Thanks again for the support and we wish you all health and happiness for the future.

We are looking forward to welcoming guests back to Sarum House from 20th May. Due to Covid regulations, we have been closed for over a year, but rest assured that we have kept busy over this period and have not just been enjoying the holiday!😃
Pictured is the base for our new greenhouse...coming in January 2022! We may have been a bit premature in its preparation!😂
Our Wisteria has at last flowered, only 6 years since it was planted!
The rest of the garden is looking very green after all the rain that we have had recently. We just need a bit of sun now!
Anyway, we look forward to welcoming our guests, both old and new to our Covid compliant Sarum House!

Well, what a year it's been! Unfortunately we have been closed throughout most of it but have managed to keep safe and well.
Our street has pulled together tremendously and we have celebrated two elderly residents very senior birthdays ( one 100years old) ... socially distanced of course!)
This Christmas we have joined together to produce a very special Advent Calendar, with each house in Record and Castle Street decorating a window each day in the run up to the big day. We have raised over £800 for the charity Crisis in so doing.
Although we have not been able to carry out our normal B&B duties, we have been kept busy! Our eldest son David and his wife Joani had a lovely little baby girl in January and they spent much of lockdown with us here in Ruthin. It has been wonderful being a small part of seeing her grow to nearly her 1st birthday!
We were looking forward to celebrating Christmas with our children but alas, due to the recent developments reluctantly decided that for our own safety we would have to limit contact and we will have to exchange gifts in the open air without a turkey in sight!
We hope you all are well and keeping positive in these very troubled times. We hope to reopen in spring... conditions being favourable! We look forward to seeing you all again and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a much better New Yearxx

We hope all our guests, past and yet to visit are well in these strange times.

We hope that we can re-open in the New Year, though this is entirely down to conditions at the time. We would like to assure guests that every effort will be made to ensure that their stay with us will be as safe as we can possibly make it. In an effort to keep contact to a minimum breakfasts will be staggered to ensure only one family group is in the breakfast room at any time. Allrooms are of course ensuite and have entrance doors at least 3 metres from each other. Hand santizer will of course be available.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Sarum House B&B as soon is it safe do do so.
