The tourists are not happy with all these roadworks as sitting in traffic jams is not there wish when they are only here for a short break. Never had so many complaints and ultimately this will effect tourism on the island which is already suffering as the results from visit isle of wight show.

We are offering reduced rates for Mothers day treats next weekend and have reduced our rooms to £59.00 bed and breakfast. Just had a call from a potential booker and the best rate he can get on Wightlink for an overnight stay is £141.50 for the car ferry in March. Luckily we have discounted rates. They wonder why tourism is down on the island £200 for an overnight trip is out of reach for many with todays problems in the country. Reduce the cost of ferries, increase the number of visitors to the island.

Pleased to report the man who caused a nuisance for three hours last Saturday and then placed his fist through our front door has been arrested once again and has been charged with criminal damage and will appear in court on Monday.

After taking my energy suppliers to energy ombusdman I have received a result and an offer of compensation. They have 28 days to make good the problem businesses be warned about having a smart meter installed as we have had so many problems since its installation on 13th January.

Have submitted a formal complaint to the energy ombusdman regarding my energy supplier and pleased with the speed the delegated representative at ombusdman has acted in my case.

The Scaffolding is being erected once again to repair the damage on the roof which occured during the recent storms. It was only done in 2021 during Covid but it has failed seriously.
