The Lower Red Lion is one of few traditionally kept old English pubs in St Albans. With its beautiful high ceilings and wooden beam structure, this pub has a great look and feel about it, not forgetting our beautiful beer garden and car park. ll deserves its spot in the Good Beer Guide 2014 and 2015. There is a wide range of red and white wines available, a variety of spirits, lagers and ciders, so there is something to suit everyone. The food we serve is all homemade, with produce sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. David (the landlord and chef) and chef Alice are constantly creating new and exciting dishes for our menu, however we still have high quality pub grub at extremely reasonable prices. Throughout the week we have a regular menu serving our classic dishes, as well as an ever-changing specials' board. Wednesday night is 'Burger Night' two homemade 8oz burgers and a bottle of house wine for £20. Friday night is 'Fishy Friday', two traditional fish 'n' chips and a bottle of house wine for £25.
