☀️ 4 WEEKS TO GO! ADD TO YOUR DIARIES: JULY 10th! 🗓️

Imagine this: four weeks from today, you could be sitting out on our sun terrace, catching the rays and chilling with your favourite people. 😎

You might have already heard a whisper on the grapevine that we are doing things a little differently here... and it’s true! We want our venue to be a vibrant hub for the whole community to enjoy.

Except for a few special event nights, our terrace is open for everyone to use as their ultimate summer hangout. We are inviting you to pack up your favourite foods, grab a picnic basket, round up your family and friends, and make yourselves at home.

🥪 You bring the food, we’ll bring the mood! 🥂🍺🍷

Here is what we have lined up for our big opening day on Friday, July 10th:

☕ From 10:00 AM: The Sports Bar, Orangery, and Sun Terrace will be open. Pop in for barista coffee, delicious cake, or even a little tipple if you're inclined! 🍰🥂

🍺 From 3:00 PM: The Locals Bar opens its doors! 🥳✅

🎉 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Join us for Honest Hour - our very own CHAOS take on Happy Hour!

🎶 The Evening: We have brilliant live entertainment lined up to keep the good vibes going.

We have a wonderful local team ready to welcome you, and we're sure you'll recognise a few familiar young faces from around the community! 👋✨

🐾 And of course, Maude our resident Hotel Inspector - will be firmly on duty on the day, overseeing proceedings to make sure absolutely everything gets her official seal of approval! 😉🐶

There’s a breeze coming off the water today, seeing St Piran’s flag flying high above The Llawnroc feels like an historic moment to us. It’s been many years since this old building saw a Cornish flag up there where it belongs.

Its our proud statement of intent. It means the lights are back on and there’s a team here who genuinely cares about the soil we stand on. We’re doing so much more than just opening the doors and fixing up the building; were breathing life and spirit back into The Llawnroc.

It’s a new chapter, rooted right here in the centre of the village.

🐾 SECRET'S OUT: MAUDE IS OUR NEW HEAD OF INSPECTION! 🐾

We know we’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, but behind the scenes, we have been hammering through a massive list of jobs to get everything ready for the big day. Between wrestling with booking links, getting ourselves listed on TripAdvisor, Expedia, and Airbnb, and putting the finishing touches on our brand-new website, it’s been proper non-stop!
All of this is to make sure everything is seamless for when our doors officially open on July 10th! 🎉

When Joe the photographer came to do the shoot, he had a very dedicated shadow. Our little Maude took her role as supervisor extremely seriously. From checking the bedrooms to testing the sunshine out on the patio, she followed Joe absolutely everywhere.

Whew. It’s been record temperatures out there, but the team has been absolutely smashing it.

From painting walls and wiring electrics to carpentry fixes, nobody is standing idle, we've even drafted family in to help. There’s a solid month and a half of hard graft before we transform the blueprint into reality!

HUGE appreciation for the incredible crew working through this heat. We can’t wait to show you what we’re creating, watch this space - we are getting closer every day! 🛠️🪚🎨✨

✨ Hidden Gems: The Volunteer-Led Heart of Coastpath Cafe 🍰 ☕

Just around the corner from the village hall is a brilliant little cafe run entirely by volunteers. The moment you walk through the door, you can instantly feel the love and care that has been poured into this delightful space. It's beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and serves up the freshest, most delicious cakes, with tables and chairs spilling outside you can soak up the fresh sea air while enjoying a brew! ☕️☀️

Small Spaces, Massive Spirit: Local Treasures 🌿

At the weekend we visited the local plant sale, and the moment you walked into the village hall, you felt that unmistakable warmth only connected communitys create.

The room was buzzing. Lovely ladies served tea, coffee, and incredible homemade cakes, while another wonderful soul sold raffle tickets and shared stories of the hall’s history. Nearby, green-fingered experts guided people on exactly what grows where.

We even bought some amazing willow to bring good luck to our team at the Llawnroc 🦋

Thriving communities aren’t built on grand gestures. Much like the willow we bought, they are woven together quietly from the small, beautiful, everyday things people do with love. Unedited and uninterrupted!
