Can we please go back to a week ago, 2 weeks ago even. When it was warm and dry and we could enjoy the outdoors without getting soaked…… unless you were at the beach. Let’s go back to that! The day this photo was taken, these lovely ladies had spent the whole day at the beach with their dog. It was 25 degrees with a nice breeze and they had just got back to the campsite to enjoy a lovely evening meal in the sun. And now it is barely 12-4 degrees, windy and has rained nonstop for the last 4 days.
Come back summer! We are starting to slowly get busier on the campsite from now, so if everyone can keep their fingers and toes crossed for more sunshine we would really appreciate it!

This is Amy. Amy and her wife Julie have camped with us for the past 3 or 4 years.
They will be back with us in July.
Amy is very excited and had posted on social media twice in the last month about how excited she is. So we thought we would give her a shout out and say how excited we are to have them back this summer. v.renshaw .ransham

Whitsun Bank Holiday this weekend! Spring Bank Holiday this weekend! The last bank holiday weekend until August.
Then it’s May half term next week.

LOOK at that weather forecast!
That means we have only one question for you;
WHOS COMING TO CAMP!?!?

Hello everyone.

Some of you may have noticed we have been a tad quiet on her over the winter. It’s been a busy time recently but also we have had alot of illness in the family.

While the campsite will still be open and we are still excited to welcome you all, I have had to make the hard decision to not open the Beltie Cafe this year. I really haven’t been well for months now and the Beltie is just too much right now.

We really hope that you all understand and we really hope it can be back next year.

The ground is finally starting to dry out after 2 weeks of minimal rain.

So that means it's time to take the mower for its first spin this year!

Yesterday mum and I did our first Hedgehog rescue of the year. Picking an injured Hedgehog up from Wadebridge and dropping it to . Then today Harriet also picked up an injured Hedgehog.

Look how cute this little fella 🦔 from yesterday?!
We hope they are both feeling better soon.

After months of rain we are having some sneak peeks of sunshine the last few days, and it feels fantastic.
So now we really are dreaming about summer. And beach days!

6 days ago I posted a picture stood in the same place I was stood to take this picture. It was cold and wet, ohhhh so wet. I took the first picture in a small 15 minute window where it stopped raining. At that point it had rained ever day since January 1st. Today’s picture looks a little different; SUNSHINE ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
We have actually had three days this week where for a large amount of the day it didn’t rain and we got to see the sun peeking out from behind clouds.
Apparently it’s due to start raining again late this evening and the weather looks shocking again for the rest of the week. But for now getting to stand on the campsite, sun shining down and not a single drop of rain for a whole day, is what will get us through the rest of the week.
We are still keeping our fingers crossed this summer is wonderful and sunny! Positive thoughts ☀️

Hello all.
This isn't a very pretty picture but this is reality at the moment.
If it rains tomorrow (which it is meant to do), that means we will be on day 40 of the new year and day 40 of consecutive rain.
I took this photo half an hour ago in the 15 minutes that it had stopped raining this afternoon. It's now pouring again.
The video is of the small stream that runs down the side of the camping field. Its so full. And has burst its banks more than once in the last 40 days.
Good news though, with all this rain the grass is looking great!
Do you have constant rain where you are?
We are hoping with all this rain now, it will mean a nice, dry and warm summer! Keeping our fingers crossed. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Aurora Borealis!

We were once again lucky enough to have the skys light up above us last night. It was such a beautiful sight.

Lots of the South/South West got to see the Northern Lights last night. Did you see them? If you did where do you live?
