What a glorious day for our staff outing ☀️. This time we took to the streets of St Ives with artist Oliver West who led us in a Collaborative Drawing and Annotate It workshop.

It was great fun and pretty enlightening. We learned who wants to learn to swim, who wants to write a book and got to know the newer members of the Cohort staff.

For the Centre Team it’s only a couple of times a year where we work alongside each other so it was fab to hang out and reconnect.

It’s also brilliant to have direct experience of a couple of the workshops on offer to our visiting art groups. We always knew they were awesome from schools’ feedback but now we can highly recommend Oliver’s workshops first hand.

We then visited Tretho Lounge for dinner and drinks; highly recommended for a menu which will have something for everyone! With a coeliac in our group we can also confidently say they deliver for more complicated dietary requirements.

Take a walk out of St Ives along the coast path. Past Carbis Bay (1 mile) and down to Porthkidney Sands (1.5 miles) (see pic).

It’s a gloriously quiet beach - even in the busy summer months - and it’s a completely FREE activity. That’s a whole afternoon’s entertainment right there!
