We're back for two days of celebrating the Cornish sardine, the fishermen who catch them, and the rich maritime heritage of Newlyn.

Meet the skippers and crews behind the catch, watch talented local artists, see the historic luggers that fished these waters over 100 years ago. Soak up the incredible atmosphere with delicious food, live entertainment, and a true celebration of the Cornish Sardine.

We can't wait to welcome you this August Bank Holiday. See you down the harbour! 🐟

St Ives Maritime Festival returns on Saturday 30th May 2026 for a packed day of family fun, maritime tradition and entertainment around the harbour and bay.

From 11am–8pm, enjoy:
• Stalls on the Bandstand
• Rope making demonstrations
• Beach activities with Yonkers including “Fishes Wishes” & “Build a Boat”
• Storytime on the beach with Sam from Cornerstone Library
• Tug of War competitions for adults & children
• Live performance from the St Ives Arts Club Ukulele Collective
• The spectacular Festival Float & Parade of Sail
• Heritage boats within the harbour and bay
• Scully Racing
