RIP TONI CARVER
The St Ives September Festival is very sorry to hear of the passing of Toni Carver, proprietor and editor of the St Ives Times and Echo.
Toni was for many years a huge supporter of the September Festival, formerly as a committee member and latterly as organiser and host of the Festival's Saturday afternoon Big Cauldron marathon music sessions upstairs at the Western Hotel
The Festival greatly valued his editorial support at the Times and Echo and also the experience and wisdom he shared with committee members.
Toni will be remembered for his major contribution to life in St Ives and his generous support for many organisations in the town.
Condolences and best wishes to all his family and friends at this sad time.

THE UNRAVELLING WILBURYS are appearing at St Ives Theatre on Sunday September 14 - the second night of the two-week St Ives September Festival. Full Festival info and tickets online at www.stivesseptemberfestival.co.uk
The perfect mix of superb musicianship and tongue-in-cheek humour! The Unravelling Wilburys perform the songs of 1980s supergroup The Traveling Wilburys
They also dip into the back catalogue of its legendary members - George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison and Jeff Lynne (ELO), with their unique slant on what it means to be a tribute band.

2024 September Festival is on its way ... 14-28th September. We have vacancies in Flats 2 and Barnoon but Flat 4 is booked. It's always a great event.

FIRST EXHIBITION ANNOUNCED FOR 2024 SEPTEMBER FESTIVAL
CAPTURING THE LIGHT: ST IVES ARTISTS 1885-1914, running at St Ives Museum from April 1 – when the Museum Opens for the summer - to October 31, will also be part of this year’s September Festival programme.
In the period prior to 1914, the St Ives art colony gained a national and international reputation as a centre for the practice and teaching of landscape and marine painting out of doors.
This exhibition, new for 2024, showcases some of the leading British and foreign artists drawn to what was hailed as “the Mecca of the seascapist”, many of whom experienced career-changing influences.
Monday to Friday (10.30am-4.30pm), Saturday (10.30am-3.30pm). Included with Museum admission.
