From open Cornish waters to the MOR kitchen🐟 Tuna Night, Friday 30th October, 6:30 - 10pm

Join us at MOR for an evening about the extraordinary journey of one of the ocean’s most powerful fish, and the fishermen who work to bring it from the open waters of Cornwall to the plate.

Once overfished from our waters, bluefin tuna have made a remarkable return to Cornish seas. Today, a strictly managed, limited and line-caught commercial fishery allows licensed Cornish fishermen to land this extraordinary fish for the table.

But catching one is no simple task. Bluefin are fast, muscular and built for endurance, meaning landing one demands skill and a huge amount of strength aboard a compact fishing boat.

On Friday 30 October, fisherman Kieran Burkhill from the Stargazy will bring that story to MOR.

The evening begins with a live bluefin tuna breakdown, followed by a five-course tasting menu showcasing different cuts of Cornish bluefin and MOR’s approach to making the most of the whole fish.

Expect:
• A live tuna breakdown and demonstration
• Five courses celebrating Cornish bluefin tuna
• Stories and insight from fisherman Kieran Burkhill
• A MOR goody bag to take home, including a portion of Cornish bluefin tuna
