Kelynack Holidays Cornwall Kelynack is small and secluded, nestling alongside a stream, just a mile from the coast in the beaut They can also play table tennis in our undercover area.

We are a small family run site and we always aim to offer a friendly Cornish welcome to all. Stay in one of our superior quality static caravans, or bring your own caravan, tent or motor home. We also offer bed and breakfast accommodation in our home and, new this year, our luxury rooms in the Old Dairy. Choose from self–catering or bed and breakfast in our three newly refurbished rooms, each taking their name from one of a dairy herd; Daisy’s Dairy, Primrose’s Parlour and Cathy’s Creamery. Children enjoy playing in our playarea and exploring our woodland area. We have some friendly animals including our donkeys: Carmen, Scrumpi, Ned, Bracken and our Shetland pony Pedro. Carmen has had a foal, who we named Merlin. The name was chosen by a little boy staying on the site, who thought the new addition was ”magic”. Kelynack is an ideal base to explore many beautiful parts of West Cornwall. We are just 5 mins drive to Sennen beach which has lovely golden sand. Surfing lessons are available from here. At the end of our road there is a bus stop where you can hop on a bus to St Just or Land’s End. Or take the open top double decker bus and explore the beautiful coastal road to St.Ives. Kelynack is a short walk from St Just where there are shops, pubs, restaurants and art galleries. Why not enjoy Diddley Dee night at The Star Inn on a Monday evening where locals and visitors enjoy tradtional Cornish/Irish music. The legendary Minack Theatre is only 7 miles away, with performances through out the summer months. If golf is your thing then Cape Cornwall Golf Club with it’s stunning views is only 3 miles away. We have details of places to visit in our laundry, including dog friendly beaches.

Pendeen Lighthouse

Eight minutes of stillness…

Kerry and I hadn’t gone out with any serious photography plans. We’d simply popped over to Levant Mine for some fresh air and a short walk along the Cornish coast.

I did, of course, have the camera with me—just in case.

The grand sunset never really arrived. My old nemesis, that stubborn bank of cloud on the horizon, saw to that. But above Pendeen Lighthouse, a small patch of pink remained in the evening sky, adding just enough colour to make me stop and set up the tripod.

I used a 515-second exposure—that’s eight minutes and 35 seconds—to smooth the movement of the Atlantic and turn the sea around those rugged rocks into something wonderfully calm.

It wasn’t the dramatic sunset I might have hoped for, but it didn’t need to be. It was another beautiful and peaceful evening on the Cornish coast, and sometimes that quietness is the photograph.

The Milky Way rising above Allen’s Shaft at Botallack Mine.

There’s something incredibly powerful about standing in places like this after dark. The old mining remains are quiet now, but they still have so much presence in the landscape — especially under a sky full of stars.

Botallack is one of those places where Cornwall’s history and the night sky seem to sit perfectly together. A reminder of the people who worked this coast, the industry that shaped it, and the vastness of the sky above it all.

Stay in one of their superior quality static caravans, or bring your own caravan, tent or motorhome. You can also choose a self catering stay in our en-suite rooms in the Dld Dairy.

Children can enjoy the outdoor play area and explore the woodland surroundings, plus we also have a sheltered play area where table tennis is available and they can also enjoy feeding the lovely Donkeys.

Here at Kelynack we cater for touring caravans, mobile homes and camping in tents. We have 42 pitches all with electric hook up provided and we have a chemical disposal point. Visitors can park their cars next to their caravans or tents and additional vehicles can park in our main car park during peak times. Our well appointed shower facilities include separate shower cubicles, toilets, wash basins, and hair and hand dryers. We also have separate disabled WC facilities. The laundry room has an automatic washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities.
In wet weather, campers can cook under the cover of our gazebo.
We have a small but well stocked shop which caters for all of your camping needs, including groceries, fresh milk and camping gas etc.
We also have an EV Fast Charging facility on site.
