Good morning everyone - well we have survived what seems to be a 50 year storm, and no Bodi is not coming back !! 🤣 Little Nook Glamping has been very lucky. We have a few trees down and sheds are somewhere between here and Penzance but our Safari Tents will now be entered into the Guineas book of records for surviving 100mph winds …. Although we have power, we do not have any internet so I am reporting live from the poly tunnel where one bar of 4g is keeping me going.
The roads are a mess and it will take a few days for everything to be back to normal but we will soon be back up and running

🏊‍♂️Jubilee Pool Sea Swim - 23rd August🏊‍♂️

Have you bought your ticket for the famous Sea Swim from Newlyn to Jubilee Pool, planned for 23rd August? Hopefully the weather is on our side this year, but we’ve pencilled in a back up date just in case (6th September).

This annual event is a highlight in the local calendar, this swim is the length of Penzance Promenade - fantastic for spectators and participants alike.

2025 sees a new setup - with the addition of a 'competitive race' for swimmers completing the race in under 25 minutes. 'The Original mile' is still open to all, starting from Newlyn and ending at the Jubilee Pool slipway. Registration is from 14:00 - 16:20 in the shop. Tickets must be booked online in advance.
The 'Competitive Race' starts 17:00
The 'Original Mile' starts at 17:40.

The Short Race is also available for young people aged 12-15 or those who are looking to partake in an organised sea swim but over a shorter distance.
The race is approximately half a mile in length (850 metres)
The Short Race registration opens at 14:00 in the shop.
The Short Race begins at 16:00

With a history of over 40 years, The Jubilee Pool are proud to keep this wonderful community event alive.
