The 13 th century church is set amongst beautiful gardens beside a peaceful tidal creek.

A local legend tells of Joseph of Arimathea bringing his boy nephew, Jesus to Cornwall and that he landed at St Just in Roseland.

There is a wonderful coastal walk that visitors can enjoy with or without four legged friends from St Mawes Castle through National Trust fields overlooking Falmouth,Mylor, Restronguet and beyond.

Whilst visiting the church guests should visit the new St Just Discovery and Interpretive Centre which explores the history and heritage and beauty of the church and its gardens

And for food lovers to start or complete a fascinating day exploring visitors can pop into for a delicious breakfast, lunch or Cornish cream tea!

We’re grateful to have had a bit of an influx recently 🥰 - so we wanted to say hello and tell you a little about ourselves.

St Mawes Retreats has a portfolio of luxury self catering properties for rental in beautiful St Mawes in Cornwall. Located on the Roseland Peninsula, the award winning village is picture perfect and all of our properties offer expansive views of the village and coastline.

We can sleep from 2 to 14 guests in our properties. They all offer wonderful outside space, private parking, are walking distance from the village centre and harbour and most are dog friendly 🦮. Our sumptuous beds ensure a fabulous night’s sleep 🛏 and all properties are equipped to the highest standards.

We aim to ensure your holiday is full of special memories so we also offer a concierge service - from unpacking your online grocery shop to recommending and booking restaurants, from babysitters 👶 to a private chef 👩‍🍳, from water sport lessons 🚣 to in-house spa treatments 💅🏼. If there is something you would like, just ask and we’ll sort if for you. We haven’t been defeated by a request yet!
