🌿 We're excited to announce something new! 🌿

High Nature is teaming up with The Fidget Project, a wonderful CIC supporting autistic children with sensory challenges, for the Harvesting Wellbeing Workshops — a collaborative day of nature-based sessions.

Kids will get to choose from a range of hands-on activities — gentle yoga and nature connection with Abi Abi Jones foraged-material eco-home building with Naturemake, mushroom spore printing with Rosy Cheeks and free play in our Open Play Space.

It's a chance for children to explore, create, and connect with nature at their own pace, in a warm and inclusive environment.

📅 Sunday 11th October, 9am – 4pm

🕐 Session 1: 10am–12pm
🕐 Lunch break: 12–1pm
(bring a picnic or pre-order food)
🕐 Session 2: 12pm–3pm

🌾 Community Food Growing Drop-In 🌾

Monday 21st – Friday 25th September

Our kitchen gardens are ready for their winter turnaround, and we'd love your hands in the soil to help us get there!

Come join us for a relaxed drop-in session — harvest what's ready, help preserve the abundance, and prepare the beds for the colder months ahead. Whether you've got green fingers or none at all, there's a job for everyone.

It's a lovely chance to learn a few growing skills, meet other local faces, and be part of the food growing story here at High Nature.

🌱 Drop in any day between 10am - 4pm — all welcome (DM High Nature or Cat Mamaki if you're interested)

💛 What a weekend! 💛

We had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful hen party in our yurts last weekend — and the whole thing was topped off with a beautiful 4-course meal from the incredible Apple Taylor

Apple was our very first caterer here at High Nature, right back when this project was just taking its first steps 16 years ago — so having her back in our kitchen, cooking for us again, felt really special. Full circle moments like this are what make this place what it is. 🌿

Thank you to the whole group for choosing High Nature for your celebration — and to Apple, for the food and the memories. 🥂

What a night at High Nature! 🌿

On Saturday we welcomed 22 coast path walkers, raising money for Forest Holme Hospice — a truly wonderful local charity providing specialist care and support for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses in Poole.

The wonderful Nong cooked them a delicious two-course Thai feast, which went down an absolute treat. Then it was a very early start and a High Nature full English breakfast to fuel them up before heading off on their final day of walking.

Huge respect to this group for taking on the coast path for such an important cause. Wishing you all a brilliant final stretch! 💚

Wake up to birdsong on our coastal plateau at East Portlemouth, then head straight out to explore — we're footsteps from some of South Devon's best beaches and coast path walking. Take the ferry across to Salcombe for the afternoon, swim at Mill Bay or Gara Rock, or walk the coast path out toward Bolt Head. Come back to your own private yurt and a plateau full of stars.
