Please accept our apologies, as we do not have any “budget rooms” at the Eskdale Lodge. All our bedrooms, however, have been recently refurbished, individually decorated and fitted to a high standard which include en-suite facilities, LCD flat screen television with additional satellite channels, FREE wireless internet connection, mineral water and a welcome tray consisting of tea and coffee makin

g facilities and luxury biscuits. Although the rooms are fitted out to the same high standard, these superior rooms are more spacious than the standard rooms and have larger LCD televisions (32 inch). All our rooms are “Superior as Standard” but still suit guests on a budget! Our rooms are priced on a Room only basis giving the guest maximum flexibility and choice. To include breakfast in your rate please add £4.95 for a continental or £7.95 for any cooked breakfast. Eskdale Lodge has achieved a 4 star rating by The Quality in Tourism assessment scheme. This indicates a very high standard of quality and service within the Guest Accommodation category. Guest Accommodation properties are generally smaller than Hotels with more of a family home feel and approach, and a less structured service.

There seem to have been a few rumours going around recently, so I just wanted to clear things up — The Eskdale Lodge is very much OPEN and has never closed! 🍻
Our bar is open from 5pm Monday to Saturday (currently closed Sundays). While the kitchen isn’t open just yet, reopening it is something I’ll definitely be looking at once I’ve properly found my feet again.
After spending the last four years caring for my parents through ill health, I’ve recently returned and I’m now focused on bringing The Eskdale Lodge back to life. I’ve been sad to see that many familiar faces haven’t been coming in lately, and I’d genuinely love to know why — whether it’s something we can improve, something you’d like to see, or simply what would tempt you back through the doors.
The Lodge has always been about good people, good laughs and a welcoming atmosphere, and I’m determined to get it buzzing again.
Over the next few weeks I’ll also be getting stuck into the beer garden — lawn mower, hedge trimmers and secateurs at the ready — so we can get our sun-trap beer garden looking its best for summer ☀️🍺
