🚤 One of our favourite places to moor up... 🌿

If you're cruising the Broads and fancy stretching your legs for a while, Salhouse Broad is well worth a stop and well worth checking out 'what's on'

Moor up, enjoy a coffee from The Hungry Otter ☕, wander through the trees, enjoy the mobile sauna and plunge or simply sit and watch the water for a while.

Travelling with younger crew? There's a play area to burn off a little energy too. 🤸‍♀️

And if you're staying overnight, keep an eye on the sky... Salhouse Broad is also known for its fantastic stargazing opportunities. ✨🌙

Firepits, fires and BBQ's are still banned at Salhouse Broad.

We've seen disposable BBQ's alight on boats, BBQ's in these dry weather conditions. We have seen it all.

Please adhere to the ban and clear your rubbish away so we can prevent a fire.

Unfortunately, this week we have seen how quickly wildfires can spread and the devastation they cause. Despite slightly cooler temperatures and some recent light showers there is still a high risk of wildfires in the Broads area.

A discarded cigarette or match can start an uncontrollable blaze.

Glass bottles or reflective litter intensify sunlight and ignite dry vegetation.

Barbecues and campfires can wreak havoc. Please don’t light barbecues or campfires in open countryside.

If you see a fire, call 999, ask for the Fire Service and provide them with the location.

A friendly reminder that if you want to launch your own canoe / kayak / paddleboard at Salhouse Broad, you MUST wear a buoyancy aid. We might be able to rent you one, but only if we have availability, it's always best to have your own.
