Anything, anywhere, if mismanaged, can quickly turn into a πŸ’© show and spoil your dreamy 'financially free' life in paradise 🍹

Been seeing a lot of posts people worried about investing in cheaper areas and getting bad tenants.

This pic's the utility/back porch of property I viewed on a decent yielding, in-demand street in Leeds, where people want to live, and house prices go up. Not some run down, no go slum.

If you're going to buy something in an area you don't know, give it to an agent you haven't met, who'll let it to someone they've not vetted, odds are you're not going to be enjoying that tropical beach so much 🌴

With only Bella, and me in during it's been weirdly quiet. No rushing to school, picking up new guests, trips out with or teaching Not even having family or friends round. But we've played hide and seek in the empty bedrooms, made every combination of smoothie, played the keyboard, built fires, practised English, learnt rude words in Spanish, explored every bit of forest nearby, baked, painted, drawn, 'homeschooled', cooked, walked, talked, shouted, eaten, Netflixed, laughed, cried, read, got bored, stargazed, exercised, siested, sung, danced, zoomed, panicked, worried, got excited, done nothing.... noticed life ❀️

I don't know how things will be in the near future, if we'll be able to welcome more guests, get trips up and running with or even go back to teaching international students in Leeds anytime soon. But two things are certain:

1. Life goes on and this will pass 😌

2. Very soon we'll be having strawberries for tea πŸ“πŸ“πŸ˜‹πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜πŸ˜
