With the opening of Quay Cottage as a holiday let, our business has grown and we’re looking for an extra pair of hands to help us maintain the high standards our guests expect.

This is not a summer-only role — we’re looking for someone dependable, hard-working and confident working both independently and as part of a team.

🕒 Flexible ad-hoc hours
🧽 4–6 hour shifts, usually finished by 4pm
📍Weekend availability essential
🏡 More hours in winter, fewer in summer

Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred.

4 Garden Open Days, 5 wonderful charities, countless blooms… and even a surprise hailstorm💐

What an incredible spring season it’s been welcoming so many of you to Pentillie for our Charity Garden Open Days.

From soft butter-yellow daffodils carpeting the orchards to fragrant wisteria cascading across the terraces ~ and every blossom-filled moment in between ~ it has been such a joy to share the gardens with you all.

A huge thank you to the amazing charity volunteers who joined us throughout the season, sharing more about the important work their charities do and helping make each day feel so warm, welcoming and special.

And to everyone who visited, strolled through the gardens, stopped for cake, braved the weather and donated so generously, we can’t thank you enough. Your support and kindness truly makes a difference.

We’ve loved every moment of it and already can’t wait to welcome you back to Pentillie again soon ✨

From vibrant woodlands in bloom, and the peaceful riverside to rolling countryside views across the Tamar Valley ~ spend the day exploring the gardens at your own pace and enjoy time outside with loved ones.

🧺 Enjoy light lunches & refreshments from the pop-up Castle Café (12noon–4pm)
🌱 Join a free foraging walk with Joanna from at 12noon or 3pm ~ discovering the edible and medicinal plants growing across the estate

This is a relaxed day out for all ages and a simple way to come together, slow down, and support a cause that touches so many lives.
