What a wonderful weekend it's been at our shepherd's hut 🌿✨

We've loved welcoming so many guests looking to escape the hustle and bustle, slow down, and enjoy a little slice of countryside life. From peaceful morning coffees overlooking the fields to cosy evenings under the stars, the hut has been filled with relaxation, laughter, and special memories.

There's something truly magical about taking time away from everyday routines, reconnecting with nature, and embracing the simple pleasures that make a stay in the countryside so special. Seeing our guests enjoy the space we've created makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Reading your reviews is genuinely one of our favourite parts of what we do 💛 There is nothing better than hearing that our guests have had such an amazing stay that they want to share their experience with others. Every review means so much to us, and we truly appreciate every kind word that gets left behind after a stay.

We absolutely love welcoming larger groups here, and our shepherd huts are perfectly set up for it 🏕️ We have huts grouped together in twos and threes, making them ideal for family getaways, celebrations, reunions, birthdays, or simply spending quality time together in the countryside. Whether you are planning a small escape or a big group retreat, we love helping create those special memories.

What made this review extra special for us was hearing that every single guest individually enjoyed their stay. Knowing that such a large group all left feeling relaxed, happy, and well looked after is exactly what we aim for and something we genuinely cherish as a business.

Now that we’re slowly creeping towards the May Bank Holiday and May half term, it’s the perfect time to start planning a little countryside escape — especially if you’ve got some little tots to entertain during the school holidays.

Our quirky shepherd huts are the ideal place to switch off, relax, and enjoy a night or two away surrounded by beautiful Lancashire countryside. This half term, the Hall will be hosting its magical Magic Mayhem event, packed full of fun for the children. There are so many reasons our guests choose to stay in our cosy shepherd huts ✨

For some, it’s all about escaping the noise of everyday life—switching off, slowing down, and enjoying a little peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful surroundings 🌿 For others, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed family getaway, creating simple, special moments together.

And then there are those who stay to make a night of it… 👀

With incredible events taking place at Samlesbury Hall throughout the year, our huts offer the ideal place to stay just a short stroll away. One of the absolute highlights is the amazing one-man, two-act show by Jack Abbott, bringing Henry VIII’s story—divorced, beheaded, died—to life in such a captivating way 👑

We’ve had so many guests return time and time again for this experience—enjoying the performance, soaking up the atmosphere, and then wandering back to their shepherd hut afterwards. No long journey home, no taxis… just a peaceful walk and a cosy night’s sleep waiting for you 🏡✨
