The durable, wipe-clean flooring makes light work of muddy paws and wet wellies, helping to keep the rest of the cottage warm, clean, and comfortable. Thoughtfully designed storage ensures everything has its place, allowing you to settle in and relax from the moment you arrive.

This gives guests the best of both worlds, with easy access to rolling hills, historic market towns, scenic walking routes, and some of Scotland’s most beautiful landscapes.

The historic town of Sanquhar is the nearest town, offering local shops, cafés, traditional pubs, and a rich history as one of Scotland’s oldest Royal Burghs. From here, guests can easily venture further afield to enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, wildlife watching, and sightseeing throughout southern Scotland.

Spend the day surrounded by historic rally cars, stunning scenery, and festival atmosphere — then retreat to peace and quiet in your own cosy rural hideaway.

🏁 𝗟𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 | 30th & 31st May 🏁

This weekend, the grounds of Drumlanrig will host the Lombard Rally Festival Drumlanrig Castle, with around 60 historic rally cars gathering on the Estate for two action-packed days. 🚗💨

While this is an independently organised event, spectators are very welcome to attend and enjoy the atmosphere.

Please note that temporary road closures and diversions will be in place across parts of the Estate during the event.

📍 All traffic visiting the Estate should turn left immediately after Drumlanrig Bridge and follow the signage for the Adventure Playground and Larchwood Cabin to access parking.
