📅 **Have you noticed our little calendar?**

This wooden calendar has been part of the decoration at Euchan Bridge Cottage from the very beginning. ❤️

We brought it all the way from **Valencia, Spain**, and it’s one of those little details we love having in the cottage.

The best part? Our guests can change the blocks to show the **day and month**, so it’s different every time someone stays.

We’ve already had our first bookings for 2027, with three stays booked for May and June! 🥰

If you already know when you’d like to visit Euchan Bridge Cottage next year, it might be worth booking early to make sure you get the dates you want.

We’re so lucky to have so many lovely returning guests and, with bookings already coming in for next year, the calendar is starting to fill up earlier than usual. ❤️

And there’s something else exciting coming…

🏡 Daltamie Lodge is currently being renovated, and we’re hoping to have it ready for guests from early 2027.

So next year you may have two beautiful cottages in Dumfries & Galloway to choose from! 🌿

🏡 A little update from our new adventure…

Daltamie Lodge is slowly starting to reveal what we imagined when we first saw it. ❤️

The fireplace is now taking shape, parts of the bathroom and kitchen are coming together, and little by little, this old cottage is beginning to feel like a home again.

There’s still plenty to do, but it’s so exciting to see the transformation happening!

✨ Here are a few little glimpses of what we’ve been working on…

We’re hoping to have Daltamie Lodge ready for its first guests around Easter 2027. 🐣🌿

🌿 It's been a little quiet on here lately... 🌿

I realised it's been a while since my last update, but it's certainly not because we've been taking it easy!

We've been incredibly busy working on Daltamie Lodge Cottage, and it's so exciting to see everything gradually coming together. Every week brings another step forward, and I'll be sharing a few photos of the latest progress—including the fireplace taking shape, kitchen and bathroom.

Meanwhile, Euchan Bridge Cottage has been keeping us just as busy, with lots of last-minute bookings arriving over the past few weeks. It's wonderful to see so many guests discovering Sanquhar and enjoying everything the area has to offer. We do still have a few summer dates available (I'll post those separately), so there's still time for a summer escape if you're thinking about one. ☀️

Last weekend, with the beautiful weather, we took some time to explore the countryside around Daltamie Lodge—and what a treat it was. We stumbled across two absolutely stunning little lochs, covered in water lilies, in the most peaceful setting. 🌸

It was the kind of walk that reminds you why we love this part of Scotland so much: perfect for families, cyclists, dog walkers, or anyone who simply enjoys being surrounded by nature.
Sometimes the best places aren't the ones in the guidebooks—they're the ones you discover by accident. 💚

🌿 Exciting news for Sanquhar! 🌿

At Lovely Properties Spain & Scotland, we’re always delighted to see new businesses opening in our little town and helping Sanquhar continue to grow and thrive ✨

We’re especially excited to hear about the upcoming opening of Alladins Other Cave, offering Scottish products and gifts, as well as a new gym and fitness classes on the High Street.

It’s wonderful for both the local community and for our guests at Euchan Bridge Cottage, giving visitors even more reasons to enjoy their time here and discover everything Sanquhar has to offer 💚
