A little moment of calm from the campsite today 🐝✨

Getting ready for the season at Scalloway Caravan Park 🌿

After a long Shetland winter, it’s that time again…

The grass is being tidied, edges sorted, and every corner of the park is getting a proper refresh. From painting and maintenance to clearing beds and lifting the last of winter’s mess — it’s all hands on deck behind the scenes.

It might look calm when you arrive, but there’s a lot that goes into getting everything ready for the first visitors of the year.

There’s something really satisfying about seeing it all come back to life again — longer days, a bit of warmth in the sun (when we’re lucky!), and the park slowly waking up.

We’re looking forward to welcoming you back for another season in Shetland 💛

🌊 Keeping Our Shoreline Beautiful – One Beach Clean at a Time 🌊

Time to tackle something close to our hearts – clearing old ropes, nets and plastic debris from the beach nearby. What started as a “quick tidy” turned into a huge pile of tangled fishing gear and waste that had washed ashore.

It’s always shocking how much the sea gives back – but it’s also a reminder of how lucky we are to live and work in such a special place.

Our caravan park sits right here in this incredible coastal landscape, and we want to help look after it for everyone – locals, visitors, wildlife, and future generations. The beaches are part of what makes staying here so special, whether you’re walking the shoreline, sea swimming, or simply enjoying the view from your van window.
