🕰️ Did You Know: The Bridge Built for Boujee Victorians? 🎩

Next time you cross the Scarborough Spa Bridge, spare a thought for the wealthy Victorians of 1827!

Back then, the only way from the town centre down to the Spa complex was a seriously steep cliff walk. The Victorian elite were not keen on all that exertion just to take the waters!

So, the spectacular iron Cliff Bridge (now Spa Bridge) was built specifically to let the upper classes stroll elegantly to the Spa without breaking a sweat! 😂

A beautiful piece of history that shows sometimes, people just really want the easy route!

Exciting news for Scarborough! 👀🍦

The cameras are set to return to our beautiful seaside town as filming continues for Netflix’s Tales of the Unexpected, the new six-part drama inspired by the stories of legendary author Roald Dahl. 📺✨

The Yorkshire coast has already been attracting plenty of attention, with filming taking place in Scarborough, Whitby and Saltburn. 🎬🌊

⭐ The star-studded cast includes Nicola Coughlan, Toby Jones, Imelda Staunton and Dominic West!

Scarborough has already provided the backdrop for scenes around Eastborough, William Street and the iconic Harbour Bar, giving our town a little taste of Hollywood! 🍦🎞️

With further filming expected around the area, keep your eyes peeled next week — you never know who you might spot while out and about! 👀📸

It’s fantastic to see Scarborough and the Yorkshire coast showcased in a major Netflix production, putting our wonderful seaside towns in the spotlight for audiences around the world. ❤️🌅

📺 The series is currently expected to arrive on Netflix in 2027.
