A date for your diaries. Sunday 16th August 2026 at 3pm. Following of the success of last years event the now annual Fat Badger v Grosmont cricket match is to take place at Grosmont’s Front Street ground. A wonderful day for all the family with a bar run by The Fat Badger, raffle, hopefully burgers by Radford’s Butchers, Sleights, and a quality cricket match with talent on both sides. 😂. Let’s get as many locals down as possible to have fun in the sun, (hopefully), and raise some funds for your local cricket club.

We were out for a walk and no queue at the Magpie so popped in to try their £20 two course set menu for Whitby Restaurant week. We started with Crab Pate and mussels, and seafood risotto and duo of king prawns and haddock. All were superb. The Crab Pate and the Seafood Risotto were exceptional. This is great value and im sure lots of the other restaurants involved will be doing similar!
