Happy Birthday, Simon! 🎉

Today we're celebrating the man at the helm of St Helens in the Park.

At our recent 50th Anniversary celebrations, Simon's speech said about how much he enjoys working with the team and how we make his job easier. The truth is, we couldn't do what we do without him!

From his (sometimes questionable 😬😂)vision and leadership to his sense of humour and unwavering support, Simon plays the biggest part in making St Helens in the Park the special place it is today.

His passion, dedication and commitment have helped shape the park into the award-winning campsite it is and something we're all incredibly proud to be part of.

He's the first to champion the team, celebrate our successes and keep us moving forward, you'd go a long, long way to find a manager, colleague and friend better than Simon.

So today we'd like to say a huge thank you for everything you do, and wish you a very happy birthday. We hope you have a fantastic day and take some well-deserved time to celebrate.

Before we share all the photos and videos from our wonderful 50th Anniversary celebrations, we just have a few very special people to thank 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our 50th Anniversary celebrations so special!

From the incredible suppliers and local businesses who helped bring our vision to life, to the entertainers, exhibitors and partners who gave up their time to be part of the weekend, we simply couldn't have done it without you.

Across both events, we welcomed almost 600 guests to celebrate 50 years of St Helens in the Park, and seeing so many people come together to mark this milestone was incredibly special.

We'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone featured in this post, as well as Taylor at Loaded Treats for the delicious desserts, the Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream Van for keeping guests supplied with tasty ice creams, Crusties Pizza Van and Yorkshire Coast Caravans for the loan of the beautiful new Coachman caravan, which was a fantastic addition to the celebrations.

What a way to celebrate 50 years of St Helens in the Park🪩🕺🏼

An amazing evening and a fantastic time had by all. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a memorable celebration!
A huge shoutout to KDM Solutions Ltd for keeping the drinks chilled all night long, Northern Retail for ensuring everything ran smoothly with our touchscreen system, and Betton Wines & The Wold Top Brewery for helping keep everyone refreshed throughout the evening.

Last but not least! A huge thank you to the team at St Helen's in the Park Caravan and Camping for creating our bar for the celebrations. It may have only been temporary, but it won’t be going to waste, it’ll soon be transformed into planters around the site🌿

On Thursday we were delighted to welcome members of the Resident Land Agent Club (RLAC) to St Helens in the Park as part of their visit to the wider Dawnay Estates.

As one of the first businesses to lead the diversification of the Estate, St Helens in the Park has played an important role in demonstrating how rural businesses can evolve and thrive whilst remaining rooted in their local landscape and community.

During their visit, Simon shared the story of St Helens in the Park, from its beginnings to becoming one of the UK's leading holiday parks, highlighting the significant investment, improvements and ongoing development that have helped shape the park over the years.

Guests were then given a tour of the site, offering a closer look at the facilities, recent upgrades and future plans.

It was a pleasure to showcase how investment, innovation and diversification have contributed not only to the success of St Helens in the Park, but also to the wider vision of Dawnay Estates.

Thank you to the RLAC for visiting, and we hope you enjoyed learning more about our journey.

As we prepare to celebrate 50 years of St Helens in the Park, we'd like to say a huge thank you to Serentipi Ltd and the entire St Helens in the Park team for all their hard work in bringing this special weekend together.

There's more fantastic people to mention & thank, but we will post separately about those soon!

If you're joining us for our corporate event this evening, we look forward to welcoming you. And if you're attending tomorrow's seasonal and store customer celebration, we can't wait to see you there too! 🎉

☕ Hitch & Brew is open as usual throughout the weekend, but a quick reminder that there will be no pizza night this weekend.

Now all that's left to do is dust off those dancing shoes, embrace the 70s spirit and help us make this a weekend to remember! 🕺💃🪩

Our young artists have been hard at work!

As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations, we're incredibly proud to showcase the wonderful artwork created by the children of Hackness and Wykeham Church of England Schools Federation

Over Friday and Saturday, you'll have the chance to view their fantastic creations and help us choose which piece will be transformed into a special commemorative postcard. (Although if we're honest, we think they're all winners! 😊)

🗳️ To vote, simply find the green bucket next to the exhibition board, write down the name and year group of your favourite artwork and pop your vote in.

Once the weekend is over, we'll count the votes and the winning design will be professionally printed as a postcard, with proceeds supporting Macmillan Cancer Support. 💚

A huge thank you to all the children and staff at Hackness & Wykeham Schools for their creativity, enthusiasm and for being such a special part of the St Helens in the Park community.

We can't wait for everyone to see their amazing work.
