A beautiful lunchtime coastal walk today — and this is literally on our doorstep.

Coming into North Bay along the Cleveland Way, with the tide out and the cliffs glowing in the afternoon sunshine. Hard to beat views like this.

The scenery along this stretch is absolutely stunning, with fantastic walks running all the way between Whitby, Scarborough and Filey — and with brilliant public transport links close to the hotel, it’s so easy to explore the whole coastline.

Scarborough Market Hall & Vaults was buzzing yesterday for June’s Coble Market.

Fantastic to see This is Scarborough creating something new for the town - we enjoyed the live music, vintage cinema, grabbed a cider and picked up a lovely Capstan cigarette tin to add to our very own museum here..

Caught the Hispaniola sailing back into the harbour this afternoon — and it took us straight back to those days at The Mere, sailing out to the island and hunting for doubloons like it was the biggest adventure in the world.

Once the last guest headed out to see Paul Weller, Steve took his chance and escaped to follow them all down to the gig — soaking up every minute.

And in true Steve fashion, he was the first one back, pouring nightcaps and chatting with guests as they returned, all buzzing from the night.

A lovely, relaxed end to a brilliant Scarborough evening.

And at sunrise? There he was again — apron on, cooking 26 breakfasts like he’d never been out. He’ll definitely need a nap this afternoon 😴 😴
