Scarborough has been welcoming holidaymakers for over 300 years and boasts two beaches; North and South Bay, alongside an abundance of attractions and entertainment. Scalby Lodge is also a relatively short distance from the towns of Bridlington, Filey and Whitby. For those plann

ing on staying at Scalby Lodge for a few days, the historic city of York is around 45 miles away with its plethora of entertainment from the glorious York Minster to the city’s famous horse races.

The sun is shining, daffodils are out and the birds are busy nesting, Scalby lodge is the perfect place to be. We have planted loads of trees in the front paddock and will plant poppies in the rest of the field, giving you a wonderful welcome. Some other changes this year are new play equipment in the playground and new top of the range Hypnos mattresses on the beds, as you can see we’ve been busy over the winter and can’t wait to welcome you all to Scalby Lodge

Only 1 more week before we welcome our guests back to Scalby lodge, we can’t wait to see you all. In order for us to continue with our strict cleaning and sanitising regime we still ask that guests don’t arrive before 5pm and depart by 9am as soon as we can change this we will.
For a little while longer we will be keeping our games room and play area closed
Please bear with us as and be assured as soon as we can get back to normal we will

Only 1 more week before we welcome our guests back to Scalby lodge, we can’t wait to see you all again. We will continue with our stringent cleaning regime which at the moment restricts arrival to 5pm and departures by 9am and our games room and play area will remain closed for a little while. Please bear with us we are taking small steps for your continued safety

We at Scalby Lodge would like to wish all our guests a very happy and healthy 2021, we have all had a rough time of it this year,
hopefully the end is in sight and it won’t be long before we can begin to welcome you all back

Great news at scalby lodge - we now have a silver award for green tourism, we are always looking for ways to lessen our carbon footprint and have worked hard to achieve the silver award.

Once again we have had to close our play area, we apologise to all the children hoping to have fun times in it but we would rather you be safe
We will open it again as soon as we can

So sorry folks but we are having to keep the play area closed along with the games room
The guidelines we have been given ie a time slot for each person, only one adult and child per cottage at one time and extensive sanitising make it impossible to open, but rest assured we are keeping up to date with guidelines and will open it ASAP

We are really pleased to be able to open scalby lodge as from Monday 6th July. We have made a few changes to keep you all safe

- our games room and putting green will be closed for the foreseeable future, but happily the playground will be open.
- we have taken out all cushion, throws, hairdryers, magazines and books as these are items that are regularly handled and difficult to sanitise
- we are asking guests to not arrive before 5pm and to vacate the properties by 9am we sincerely hope this doesn’t cause too much inconvenience. We have to have time to do our usual thorough cleaning of the cottages and then sanitise them. Guests can be assured that after the cleaning staff have finished the door will be locked and no one will enter the property until they arrive.
- the cleaning staff have had training and are Covid 19 compliant
- We are asking if guests will kindly strip the beds before departure and put all bed linen along with towels, tea towels and bath mats used in the laundry bags provided.

We want you to have a wonderful stay with us, please be assured that the safety of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance
