Kenways Guest House Welcome to Kenways. A 7 bedroom family run bed & breakfast close to Peasholm Park and North Bay. We're family friendly and have some dog friendly rooms, too.

We cook all our breakfasts fresh to order and use local produce where possible as well as added homemade touches. Veggie, vegan, GF and dairy free all catered for.

Today has been a day of cancellations! 😳 Which makes it YOUR lucky day! 🎉
We now have our family and a double room available ALL NEXT WEEK (the last week of the school holidays for many of us!)
Grab a last minute slice of summer fun before it's autumn and you have to start thinking about things like central heating and big coats and, dare we whisper it, CHRISTMAS! 😂

Now, we know our guests at Kenways are considerate, decent people but there seem to have been more incidents this year of some visitors to our beaches and town leaving behind their rubbish... 😭 We have a great council team and several volunteer groups dedicated to helping keep bins emptied and litter picked but the images below simply begger belief. So much of that will be in the sea before it can be collected; microplastics galore; seagulls encouraged to eat and emboldened to approach - all within a few meters of public bins?! We hope we don't need to ask any of you to leave nothing but footprints behind on the sand 👣🏖️

We know you've all been melting for the last few weeks and we're really trying not to sound smug, but it has been an absolutely glorious summer on the Yorkshire coast - a few degrees cooler than inland with a lovely sea breeze, a quick paddle to cool you down, ice cream available all the time... It's Yorkshire Day! A day to celebrate all the wonderful things about this glorious county from Dale to Peak to Moor to coast! Culture, food, sport and nature showcased in our big cities and smallest towns every day! And all with a friendly face, of course. Our little market hall is doing its bit but there will be other events around Scarborough through the day, too.

The newest addition to Scarborough and a great call for a rainy day (if anyone can remember what that is?!) is Stay Cappy board game cafe. They opened their doors today and we had a great two hours browsing their game library and playing several new finds. A nice selection of hot and cold drinks and light bites with an authentic Japanese vibe and very sweet hosts. Only £2 per adult per hour, too!
