We are very excited to announce two great promotions in our lodge. Our long standing back bone of the lodge Karl Ward has now become one of the APGM and also another great PM is an active Provincial Tyler. Well done to all other promotions within provinces.

On Monday night we rose on a very sad note as we announced the passing to the grand lodge above our very own Bro. Danny Murphy he was the most wonderful happy character anyone would want to meet. Small in stature but with the biggest heart. He will be sadly missed and always remembered. Members and visitors enjoyed the evening meal with Danny’s place setting lovingly placed as we remembered all the fond moments we had shared with Danny. Sleep tight and rest in peace Bro Danny.

Recently, we celebrated the announcements of the PGL/PGC Honours 2026, including promotions from Active Teams, as well as appointments and promotions in Grand Rank 2026.

W. Bro. Christopher John Thomas, the Assistant Provincial Grand Master in Charge, and Ex. Comp. Richard John Smedley, the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal in Charge, invite all Brethren to join them in recognising and celebrating the achievements of those who have been honoured.

On Thursday 26 February 2026 Freemasons from across Yorkshire’s North & East Ridings, West Riding, and Mark Masonry recently came together for a very inspiring visit to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) base at Nostell Priory.

Hosted by Steve Waudby, Director of Flight Operations and proud member of Semper Paratus Lodge, the Emergency Services Lodge and his colleagues from YAA, the audience were given an engaging and hands-on insight into the charity’s latest life-saving initiative.

The focus of the visit was the campaign to equip all three YAA helicopter crews with cutting-edge Night Vision Goggles. Through live demonstrations and expert explanations from the pilots themselves, it became clear how this technology will significantly enhance safety and operational effectiveness over the existing equipment, enabling crews to respond faster and more safely when communities need them most.

This was a powerful reminder of the extraordinary work carried out by Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and how Freemasons continue to support organisations that make a real and lasting difference.
