Lots of families come back and stay with us time after time - and here's a few reasons why:
1. Safe and Private – our quiet, vehicle-free pitches set apart from one another are a big plus and the kids love helping move gear around with the wheelbarrows!
2. Perfect Facilities – little extras make everything a bit easier, particularly the large family bathroom and the microwave and kettle to speed up food prep.
3. Freedom & Independence – Gigha is the perfect place for kids to explore independently.
4. Discovery – There’s so much to discover on Gigha, from heritage and archaeology to rock pooling, crabbing and wildlife spotting.
5. Adventure – The shallow, sandy bay across the road from the campsite is perfect for trying paddleboarding or kayaking for the first time or stay on dry land and take a bike ride to the north end on our quiet and (relatively!) flat roads.
6. Simple Fun – waking up to bird song, toasting marshmallows on the camp fire, flying kites, playing games on the beach – so much better than screentime!
7. Tasty Food – The Gigha Hotel has a fab family friendly menu, the Nook sells yummy fish and chips and the Wee Isle Cafe makes amazing ice cream and milk shakes.
8. The Furbochs – hidden somewhere on the island, the Furbochs live in a wee wooden caravan, full of activities and games designed to entertain and enlighten your young ones.
