Sunday in Seahouses 🤍

A walk along the beach to Beadnell, stopping at The courtyard coffee shop for a coffee before wandering back to Seahouses. Then a late afternoon drink in The Schooner inn Seahouses — sometimes with live music — followed by a takeaway or a lovely meal out.

Simple Sundays in Seahouses… sounds pretty perfect to us 🌊✨

A big weekend on the Northumberland coast 💚🎶🥾

There’s lots happening locally this weekend, with Lindisfarne Festival taking place up near Holy Island and the Macmillan Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike heading along our beautiful coastline.

This one is especially close to home for us, as Mum, Dad and I will be taking on the full marathon Mighty Hike this Saturday! 🥾💚

26.2 miles, plenty of Northumberland scenery and hopefully a lot of laughs along the way — all for such an important cause.

Weekends like this are a lovely reminder of just how much there is to see, do and get involved with when staying in this part of Northumberland.

Good luck to everyone else taking part in the Mighty Hike, and to everyone heading to Lindisfarne Festival too! 🤍

We’ve still got a little availability if you’re planning a Northumberland break.

The Butcher’s Flat has one September weekend available due to a cancellation:

Saturday 19th – Monday 21st September
£240 for 2 nights
Sleeps up to 4 people.

We also have some availability throughout October in The Butcher’s Flat, so please message us if you have particular dates in mind.

The Butcher’s Retreat is now fully booked until November 🤎

From November, we’ll also be introducing our winter short stays in The Butcher’s Retreat — perfect for a few cosy days by the coast without needing to book a full week.

Typical Bank Holiday weather… a little on the soggy side ☔️

But rainy days in Northumberland can still be pretty lovely.

We’d probably head to Alnwick for a browse around Barter Books, stop somewhere for coffee and cake, spend a few hours exploring Alnwick Castle, then head back to Seahouses and finish the day with a pint in The Schooner 🍺

And if the rain clears? Straight down to the beach for a walk 🌊

Northumberland is definitely not just for sunny days 🤍
