September at Fir Trees & Chester – A Brilliant Time to Visit
September is one of the most enjoyable months at Fir Trees and in Chester. The summer rush fades, the evenings turn cosy, and the whole area takes on that early‑autumn charm that owners love.

Chester’s Heritage Open Days run throughout September, giving free access to historic buildings and hidden locations normally closed to the public. It’s a fantastic chance to explore Roman towers, medieval cellars, old churches, and guided walks that reveal parts of the city most people never get to see.

The River Dee is perfect this time of year too — quieter cruises, peaceful walks, and warm late‑summer sunsets. Storyhouse, Alexander’s Live, and The Live Rooms all have strong September entertainment line‑ups, making it a great month for evenings out.

Back at Fir Trees, the park feels calm and relaxed. The trees begin to turn, the air feels fresher, and evenings on the decking become the perfect way to unwind after exploring Chester.
