Say hello to the husband-and-wife team at the heart of it all – Nigel & Liz.

🏡 With many years of building and running businesses together (did you know that Howgills House used to be a Care Home for the elderly? Set up and run by Liz and her wonderful mother Jean?) Nigel and Liz bring a wealth of experience, passion and dedication to everything they do. Their shared love for Sedbergh, the stunning Howgill Fells and the surrounding countryside inspired them to create places where guests can truly relax, reconnect and enjoy this beautiful corner of Cumbria.

🌿 Drawing on their extensive hospitality experience, they believe that it's often the smallest details that make the biggest difference. From the comfort of the accommodation to the warm welcome guests receive, every decision is made with the guest experience in mind.

💛 Nigel and Liz are the first to acknowledge that none of it would be possible without the incredible team around them. From housekeeping and maintenance to guest support and administration, it takes a dedicated group of people working together behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
