Situated in the heart of quaint Sedbergh, our family-run 16th century coaching inn has been a favourite destination of locals, tourists and walkers for decades. Here at The Dalesman we have six double guest rooms and a single, as well as a separate two-bedroomed cottage. Our individually styled rooms offer plenty of authentic charm and comfort, creating the perfect base to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. The full English here isn't your rushed, plate-of-cold-toast affair. It's a proper sit-down start to the day. Fresh eggs cooked however you like them, crispy bacon, local sausage, grilled tomato, mushrooms, beans, toast, and that first cup of tea while the morning light comes in through the sash windows.

And because we source locally, the whole thing tastes as it should. No shortcuts, no frozen bits, just good produce served up hot in the dining room.
