coal available to buy on site. Great country pub with good food ~500m stroll across field. Loads of excellent walks from site. Offa's D**e long distance path is just over 1km from site. Small & special site with just 5 pitches on one acre. Plenty of peace & quiet...and star gazing (clouds allowing!). Ideal for families and couples - groups not accepted. For everyone's sake, we kindly ask for minimal noise - quiet after 10pm. Whilst it feels very rural here, it is only 3 miles to the nearby market town Oswestry and roughly halfway between Shrewsbury and Chester (about 30 minute drive to each). There is a small stream (loved by dogs and kids!) with footpath crossing just 100m from the site. In setting up the site, we've tried to be environmentally conscious and hope you'll help us during your stay (such as: minimise rubbish, make use of the recycling and composting bins - thank you). The composting toilets are much like a 'normal' toilet but instead of flushing, you sprinkle a scoop of sawdust down the loo! Please note: the site is situated on a single-track country lane with passing places - please drive slowly and be courteous. When booking we ask that you pay for the first night as a deposit.
