For 73 years, the Good Food Guide has highlighted the best places to eat across Britain, with anonymous inspections and unbiased reviews. Being featured is an honour that cannot be bought, and we’re proud to have earned this recognition purely on merit.

We can only guess from the description in the next issue of the guide who and when they were. They always pay for their meals and never reveal their identity, even after dining. You might receive a letter like the one in our photo, or you might not. For us, this recognition comes without any cost, memberships, or fees. This is truly an independent guide based on professional opinions that you can trust.
