Who's going up Pen Y Ghent to watch the eclipse tomorrow?
You can travel by train, walk Pen Y Ghent, have a pint in The Crown Hotel, Horton-in-Ribblesdale and then head home. Or if you've got a campervan, we have 1 space left on our little camping field too....

We’re easy to find…
You can get to us by walking along The Pennine Way, taking the Settle to Carlisle railway, cycling or walking along winding country roads…. Or even by air it turns out!

THEY’RE BACK!!!
is up and running. There are over 150 displays all round Settle to find. You can get a map from several outlets in the town centre and follow a trail to see as many as you can. Here are just a handful to get you started

Fancy being winched into Gaping Gill?!

Once a year, our neighbours at Craven Pothole Club run a week of visits to one of the largest underground cave chambers in Britain. Tickets go on sale on the 1st of July for the event which runs from the 14th August and can only be purchased in advance direct from the club website.

We’ve got a corner shop!!!
Residents and visitors have been crying out for a village shop, and now we’ve got one! It’s HUGE and means visitors can now grab cold drinks, bathroom essentials, and even freshly made sausage rolls 😍
You’ll find it next to The Cake Shed at the junction near the station. Enjoy!

All booked up!
One of our campers last week asked if we had any books to swap. We didn’t, but now we do! There’s now a little in our camping kitchen.
We’re always open to suggestions and ideas. We just need time to read some of them now!

Good luck to everyone taking part in the Pen Y Ghent Fell Race this afternoon! Will anyone beat the current record time of 47 minutes?!!

The Pen-y-ghent fell race is the first race in the Yorkshire Dales Classics Series and will be held on the 6th June 2026.
