Directions from the railway station at Shanklin when walking - On leaving the station bare right towards the town into Regent Street. Continue all the way to the end of the shops until you see Boots on your right and Chubbies Fish Bar on your left at an offset crossroads. To cross more safely there is a pedestrian crossing approx. 10 metres to your right. Go straight over into Palmerston Road and up a slight hill. Follow the road round to the left and take the first turning on your left into St. Georges Road. The Swiss Cottage is 100 meters on the left. By Taxi There is a taxi rank at the station and cabs are regularly available. Free Pick-up and Drop-off To and from Shanklin Station available and we can also offer Ryde, Fishbourne or East Cowes Ferry Terminals on request at a minimal charge, maximum 4 persons. We also arrange for Discounted Car Ferry Bookings with Red Funnel & Wightlink to take the strain of you getting across the water!
