Bobby the rejected soay lamb is one week old today!!

From being unsure if he would make it to him guzzling down his bottles of milk like a pro, chasing the alpacas across the field and enjoying sleepy scritches on my lap 😴 what a week!

I have been busy the past 3 days...

On Tuesday I was given a soay lamb that had been rejected by his mother 💔

I've owned sheep before (and have goats and alpacas currently) but never a lamb just a few hours old 🥺 so I quickly messaged everyone I know (and a few people I don't even know 😅) and thanks to their incredible support and advice we've got him through his first 48 hours ❤️

Huge thanks to Ellie and Hillside for getting us colostrum and bottles asap and to Sonia, Bev, Ed and Chloe for your message/phone support ❤️

Massive kudos to Mr Bumble for tolerating a sheep in our house for 2 nights 😁 he would like me to add that we are NOT a rescue centre, before anyone gets any ideas 😁

Big thanks to Lemmy for stepping in as "Aunty Lemmy" 🥰 is there anything this alpaca can't do?! 😍

Sorry, I will try to stop sounding like an award acceptance speech 🙈🙈

Anyway. Our guests this weekend have the honour of being first to meet the newest member of the Bumblebarn family - Bobby the soay sheep 🐑

Please keep him in your thoughts as the next few days and weeks are crucial in ensuring he stays healthy and thriving 🤞
