The buckets and spades may be packed away, but September brings its own kind of charm. If you love quieter beach walks and fish & chips without the queues, while still experiencing some of the last summer sun, this may be the month for you.
Here's a few things we love doing this month:
Take a dip in the sea 🌊
The water usually sits at around 15°C in September, so it’s still warm enough for a swim if you’re feeling brave. We’d recommend heading in just before or after high or low tide, when the currents are usually calmer.
Our walk of the month: West Runton 🥾
Head towards Beeston Bump, climb to the top, then follow the clifftop path east towards West Runton. It’s around three miles, with lovely coastal views and the promise of a well-earned cuppa at the café when you arrive.
Sheringham 1940s Weekend 🎺
One of the town’s biggest events of the year, with vintage music, fashion, classic vehicles and plenty of nostalgia as Sheringham steps back in time.
Fancy a drink? Try The Crown 🍻
Just a five-minute stroll from Beachside, The Crown is a relaxed spot for a post-walk drink, with plenty of space and wonderful sea views.
