The Two Lifeboats was originally a coffee shop and Fisherman’s Mission circa 1720. The public house is named after the Augusta & Duncan lifeboats that rescued a crew of eight from the wreck of the Norwegian brig Caroline on December 6th 1882. Steeped in history and fully refurbished to a very high standard we opened to the public in June 2012. Offering not only high standards of surroundings, we pride ourselves on providing a quality affordable family offer.

Say hello to Henry ( WHO MAKES THE BEST COCKTAILS) , one of our amazing front of house members who has made us very proud with his amazing new qualifications and DISTINCITION!!! who will also be leaving us soon to go off on a new adventure to University, we are so sad to see him go but wish him all the best in the future!!! we know you will smash it!!

The off licence at the Two Lifeboats is now open. We are looking for part time staff to cover Saturday Sunday Monday and Tuesday. Hours 10.30am to 4.30pm. Wage will be NMW. Must be reliable. Serving alcohol and snacks. Contact us for more details.

All of us here at The Two Lifeboats love to go above and beyond for our customers... so we are introducing The Two Lifeboats Off- License, where you can grab a nice cold drink, snacks and any treats you would like and head to the beach!! There will be alcoholic beverages for the adults that need a good drink to take the edge off and we haven't forgot about the little ones... we will have sweets, chocolate bars and drinks all ready for them!! COMING SOON SO KEEP AN EYE OUT!!
