Glen B&B is in the central part of Shetland and could be your ideal getaway. We offer well equipped B&B accommodation. Situated in a picturesque traditional fishing village. The amazing view from our Village looks over the Atlantic Ocean towards the Island of Foula 20 miles to the west. Our cottage has been recently renovated and was formerly two Fisherman's cottages (my husband who is a retired f

isherman has lived here all his life) we can accommodate up to 4 guests at a time. The drive here will take you through some striking scenery. You will pass Scalloway the ancient Capital of Shetland, then the road will take you over two bridges to Burra Isle. Glen B&B would give you an ideal touring base to easily travel to all parts of Shetland to enjoy the scenery and beauty. We live only minutes away from stunning sandy beaches and many walks can be taken from our doorstep. For more info including availability and prices, please email [email protected]

Room pictures can be seen on our website. We have 2 guest bedrooms both with King size bed & en-suite. Rooms well equipped with free WiFi, tea/coffee making facilities and smart TV. Guests have access at all times to the Dining room/Lounge and conservatory. A fridge and microwave are provided in a public area for guests use, laundry can be done for an extra charge.

✨ We have just received many more locally hand knitted Fair Isle yoke cardigans and jumpers, all made with genuine Shetland wool. This beautiful cardigan was knitted by Mina, featuring rich traditional patterning and striking colourwork that making it a perfect piece for everyday wear or colder days oot and aboot. 🧶

The Shetland Folk Festival 2026 is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 30th to Sunday, May 3rd, 2026. The 44th annual festival will be held at various venues throughout the Shetland Islands, with the Festival Club based at the Islesburgh Community Centre in Lerwick.

Calling local musicians!
The stunning Statsraad Lehmkuhl will visit Lerwick over the 2026 Shetland Folk Festival and open the decks to local visitors.
