Some days at the house and surrounds leave you utterly speechless from dawn to dusk. Stillness, and a serene calm brought about by glassy waters stretching out to meet mountains and sky. Pure wild cinema that feels an astonishing privilege to experience. It cannot be properly described in words and pictures alone - it must be lived.

Summers bring long days, mild weather and lovely green hills and forests. It’s perfect for hill walking, bike riding, or spending time on the water. Alternatively, settle in at the house with your favourite self-catered menu, locally sourced seafood, and cook your way to holiday heaven with close friends or family. With most of 2026 booked and only one short stay remaining in 2025, we’ll be releasing full availability for 2027 in the coming week. Really, any time of year is good to visit, for a cosy winter hideaway, the spring awakening, long summer daylight days, or moody yellow and orange hues of autumn, you’ll not regret a stay here. We’ll post again when availability is uploaded and ready, so do enable notifications if you have plans to visit and don’t want to miss your preferred dates. Due to a cancellation we have a week’s stay available from 1st-8th May 2026, our most popular time of the year for bookings. With sunrises like these it’s easy to understand why May stays are so sought after. You do have to get up early to see the sun break over the mountains directly facing the house, but the rewards are astonishing. With all the promise of Spring and the warmer months ahead, it’s a beautiful time in the highlands with often much better weather than the preceding months. Even though it’s one year away, we don’t think these dates will last long.
